My Story

I bring together my diverse experiences in management, education, and personal development to help others find their purpose, reach their goals, and enjoy the process along the way—whether they’re navigating college admissions or stepping into leadership roles in their careers.

That experience taught me what leadership really looks like—problem-solving on the go, managing an array of unique personalities, and mentoring others to achieve their goals in high-pressure environments.

Each step of my journey has deepened my belief in the power of mentorship, structure, and adaptability to create meaningful change. Today, I combine these experiences to help clients—whether they’re students navigating college admissions or professionals stepping into leadership roles—find their purpose, reach their goals, and enjoy the process along the way.

My Journey - college knowledge

In the world of education, I’ve served as a high school college advisor, a community college coordinator, and as Assistant Director of Undergraduate Admissions at UC Berkeley. I’ve supported thousands of students through the college application process, essay writing, and transfer planning—especially first-generation students, veterans, foster youth, and community college students navigating their next chapter.

My Journey - management training

At just 23 years old, I stepped into my first management role. By 28, I was leading up to 65 Teamster employees a day. The company I worked for believed in hands-on leadership development, sending me across the country to train in people skills, team-building, productivity, and leadership values. These experiences shaped my belief that great managers aren’t just born, they are trained, developed, and supported.

My first management position was as a New Hire Trainer. I’ll never forget the first employee I trained because unfourtunely he quit. He told me that he liked me and he knew I wanted him to do well but I was too demanding. That moment was a wake-up call. I had to learn that effective training isn’t about pushing people or micromanaging…it’s about guiding them in a way they can understand and apply.

Over the next nine years, I trained hundreds of employees, earning multiple top trainer recognitions and eventually promoted to Retention manager where I trained new supervisors in the art of being a well rounded manager.  Leadership is about adaptability and when it comes to training or teaching you must remember that no two people learn the same way.  Great leaders adjust to bring out the best in others.
